Carmen Haller is a retired Elementary School teacher. She has been active in the Canadian Kennel Club and has served on many committees as well as the Board of Directors. She is currently Vice president (Administration) for the Canadian Dog Judges Association.

She began exhibiting in 1973. Since that time, she has bred Dobermans and Vizslas under the Carvon prefix. Her Kennel Name and pictures of foundation stock are featured in the book, The World of Doberman Pinschers by Anna Katherine Nicholas. She showed the Vizsla, Vizsta’s Royal Pacesetter to #6 sporting dog in Canada in 1991 making him Canada’s top winning Vizsla of all time. He is featured in the Book The Vizsla by Bernard C. Boggs.

She and her husband, have owned and shown group placing, Best in Specialty and Best in Show Siberian Huskies.

She has judged in Canada, Mexico, Europe, the U.S.A including Hawaii, Hong Kong, South Africa, Indonesia, Australia, India and China.

Cherie Holmes

Cherie Holmes started in Dobermans in 1971, and has bred 5 BIS winners, and over 80 champions in 7 countries. She has had several specials in the US and Canada, and her last special was the number one Doberman female and number 8 working dog in 2006 in the US. Cherie is also involved with Smooth Fox Terriers. She is now licensed for 1/2 the working group. She has attended shows in Brazil, England, Belgium, and Holland.
